January 2012

The members of Christ Lutheran Church would like to wish everyone in Troy, Fitzwilliam, and all surrounding areas a blessed and happy 2012.  We had a wonderful Advent and Christmas season celebrating with our members and many guests and we hope that everyone had a Christmas filled with joy and family and the remembering of the birth of the Christ Child in Bethlehem.

Christ Lutheran embarks on the New Year confident in the grace of our Lord and in the knowledge that He loves us all.  We look forward to a year filled with worship, fellowship, and the possibility of getting to know more of our neighbors.   We will continue with our Tender Shepherd Pre-School welcoming 3-5 year olds seeking to help them grow in social and academic skills and to grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus.  We will also continue our monthly breakfasts from which all the proceeds are given to local charities and situations of special need.   We will also continue our regular Sunday activities, with “Adult Bible Study” and “Divine Worship”.   We will continue with our “Saturday Night Gathering” and Saturday “Kids Klub.”  The Saturday Night Gathering is an informal time for adults to get together for devotions, prayer, coffee, and fellowship while the “Kids Klub” has their own special activities.  We plan also to offer some special programs of interest to members and friends and neighbors in the community – watch for our monthly articles in the Troy Town News and Fitzwilliam Newsletter.  As always we encourage our members and welcome the community take part in all of our activities as we come together for fellowship, mutual support, and to be fed on God’s Word.

Our message through out the Christmas Season was that God’s love comes to us without any merit on our part.  Our prayer is that more and more people realize that Christ Lutheran Church wants only to share God’s Word and to support and encourage each other…”Come and See - Come and Hear” the beautiful message God has for us and especially our children.

Again, many blessing to everyone in our new year…2012!
