Christ Lutheran Church News

From the Issue:
December 2011
This is a busy month at Christ Lutheran Church  We invite everyone who does not have a church home to join us for any of the activities and worship services scheduled.
Our Advent Services start at 6:00 with a soup and sandwich supper followed by evening worship at 7:00.  The theme of the series this year is “Wait, Pray, and Live by Faith” and is based on the Old Testament Prophesies of the coming of the Messiah. Advent services will be held on December 7th, 14, and 21st.
Sunday Services begin with Adult Bible Study at 9:00 and morning worship begins at 10:00.  Our December 11 Service will feature the children of the church, guests, and the children of Tender Shepherd Pre-School, as they join in Christmas Carols and the message of the Baby in Bethlehem.
Our Saturday Night Gathering and Saturday Night Kids’ Klub will meet at 6:00 for adult discussions and planned activities for the children.  Special activities will include a combined service and activity of making Advent Wreathes plus fellowship on the 3rd at 6:00.  The Saturday Evening Gatherings will be replaced on the 24th and 31st with the service listed below, but will resume in January – watch for some special activities to come.
Our Christmas Services will be Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, at 7 P.M. and then Christmas Day service on Sunday December 25.
The next week-end we will have New Years Eve Worship on Saturday night, Dec. 31st at 7 PM and the New Years Day Worship on Sunday, January 1, 2012.
The public is cordially and prayerfully invited to all of our services…bring a friend…this is a most special time of the year for all of us and especially the children.  Make this a Christmas to remember.
