From the Issue:
March 2012
According to the calendar, winter is almost over.  But, according to my almost 6 year old, and countless other children, winter hasn’t even arrived.  One October storm doesn’t count.  Where are the missed school days, the snowman building, and sledding?  Unlike the children, most adults don’t miss the cancelled school days, shoveling and sanding, or cleaning off the car!  With temperatures in the 40s and 50s it feels more like spring than the last days of winter.— the type of weather that makes the maple sap run.

Speaking of maple, our 5th Annual Maple Madness Dinner is Sunday, March 4.  Dinner will feature maple walnut chicken, East Hill Farm corned beef with a mustard maple glaze, and a broccoli and cheddar cheese quiche.  Randy Miller will play the fiddle for your listening pleasure and there will be a silent auction to benefit the Monadnock Travel Council.

Our 7th Annual Caribbean Night will be held on Sunday, April 1.  We will be serving jerk-spiced pulled pork and a Caribbean seasoned white fish.  Tropical Sensations, the local steel drum band, will play for your listening enjoyment.  The MRHS Baseball teams will be hosting a silent auction.

For both dinners, hors d’ oeuvres start at 5 PM and dinner will follow at 6 PM Reservations are required and they are BYOB events.
