My thoughts turn gratefully to the community and those who made Christmas possible for many of the children in Troy.  It is in this spirit that I want to take this opportunity to say thank you, and to wish you and all those close to you the very best in this New Year of happiness and hope, for a world at peace.  No matter how much we may dread the rush, the long lists for gifts and cards to be bought and given, Christmas Day comes, and there is still the same warm feeling we had as children.  Thank you for renewing this warmth and joy of Christmas for the 48 children whose gift wishes were placed on the tree at TD Bank.

Thank you also to the Helping Hand Center, Troy Girl Scouts, Troy Baptist Church, and local families for the donation of turkeys and holiday baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmas that were distributed in town.  No one holds a candle to you.  Your efforts are greatly appreciated.  I applaud you and thank you for your inspiration for helping those in need in our community.
