From the Issue:
February 2012

Our preschool students are participating in their reading challenge.  They enjoy listening to those who read aloud at school, home, or at the library.  Picture books offer an opportunity for each child to develop a love of reading. The children continue learning the alphabet letters and their sounds.  The students' fine and gross motor skills are being developed at preschool.  The children's birthdays are also honored in the classroom.

February is the month of LOVE.  God's Word tells us that Jesus' LOVE is for all people.  He LOVES each child just the way they are.  Valentine's Day is a day set aside to show LOVE to others.  It will be celebrated at preschool with the students making Valentine boxes and gifts for "someone special."

The winter school vacation is the week of February 20.  Tender Shepherd meets mornings at Christ Lutheran Church, located near the blinking light, just south of the town Library on Route 12.  Children may attend 2 or 3 mornings each week.  It's never too late to enroll your child in our program.  The preschool has been serving area families for over 25 years.
