I would first like to congratulate Hinsdale and other area schools in the Monadnock Region on their success with the NECAP test! On the first day of school we held a rally in the gymnasium and announced a new beginning for MRHS. We shared with our staff and students a slogan, MRHS on the Rise, because the MRHS staff believed in themselves; they believed in each other; and most importantly, they believed in the students. As Principal, I shared the importance of being proud of where our students go to school.

It is time again for us to vote on who will represent us on the Monadnock School Board. I wasn't going to run this year because I wanted to finish achieving the qualifications for Firefighter 1. With the resignation of Susan Oerman, whose term will be up next year, I will be running as a write in candidate for the three year term that is on the School Warrant Ballot. We have accomplished a lot in the last two years and I want to see some continuity in the representation form Troy.

The Troy Historical Society will hold its annual meeting on Thursday, March 19, 2009. We will have a Pot Luck Supper at 6:PM to kick off a new year. Please bring a casserole, salad, or dessert and enough place settings for the number of people joining you. We look forward to dining with you.
